Northwest Community Program History

Across Seattle and throughout the Northwest, SCA is building a new generation of conservation leaders and over the past 30 years, has strengthened the region’s youth, communities and environment. Today SCA annually engages more than 150 youth from Seattle and surrounding communities along a carefully crafted continuum of outdoor experiences that convey the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to competitively enter the workforce and practice a healthy, sustainable lifestyle.

Join us… 

at a service event or in the field with our current members! Invite other SCA alumni, interested youth, special groups, businesses, and anyone else interested in youth & conservation service. 

April 12th – Earth Day and Seattle’s 30th Celebration

9:00am – 2:00pm at the Washington Park Arboretum
Special Guest: SCA Founder Liz Putnam. 
 

Sunday, June 8th – National Trails Day

Cleveland Memorial Forest
In conjunction with Seattle Public Schools and Garfield POST program

Visit SCA members and crews

Spend a day getting to know our youth and the positive impact they’re making on our public lands. Site visits can be arranged in Seattle and across the Northwest on State and Federal Lands. To arrange a site visit contact Marc Manzo.
