Take a hike with the Student Conservation Association and help reduce litter while practicing safe social distancing of at least six feet. SCA will virtually guide you through hiking best practices and litter abatement how-to. Help create a healthier you and a healthier planet.

2. Create Pollinator Habitat

Wildflower seed balls are great for a family friendly, at-home activity, or a competitive team-builder. Seed balls are a cluster of seeds wrapped in a ball of soil and clay that you can throw in areas where traditional planting is difficult. You can toss them right in your own backyard or “plant” in a pot on your windowsill. Create buzz for pollinator habitats with this fun activity.

3. Be Green, Plant a Tree

Create deep roots for the planet and your family by planting a tree in your community or backyard. SCA will guide you in tree planting best practices and key tips to grow healthy trees. You can plant one in your own backyard or even potted in your home!

4. Reduce Your Energy Use

Join SCA to reduce your energy use by turning off all lights and limiting electronics. Connect to your neighbors and family virtually by posting your conservation commitment to social media using #SCAConserve

5. Build a Garden

Build a garden right in your own backyard or patio! SCA will show you how to create a sustainable garden that will help provide lasting access to fresh produce.
