Do you enjoy nature and being outdoors? Want to make new friends and new places? Do you want to help protect and care for our natural resources? If you answered YES to any of these questions, check out SCA Pittsburgh Conservation Leadership Corp (CLC).

The Student Conservation Association (SCA) is seeking enthusiastic teenagers age 15 - 18 to join CLC, our conservation leadership program in Pittsburgh. As a CLC member, you will spend time sharpening your leadership skills and environmental knowledge while enjoying amazing parks & forests. You will also help to improve these natural resources by engaging in service projects.

Program Information and Benefits:

  • One weekend trip each month, from January to May, 2018.
  • SCA provides equipment, food, and necessary supplies at no cost to members.
  • Members that complete the program will receive priority placement for SCA national crews anywhere in the US.
  • Gain up to 100 volunteer hours, experience, and leadership skills to add to your resume and college applications.
  • Explore conservation career possibilities and get paid!

Important Dates:

  • January 13-14: Orientation Trip
  • February 10-11: Overnight Trip to Raccoon Creek State Park
  • March 10-11: Overnight Trip to Raccoon Creek State Park
  • April 14-15: Overnight Trip to McConnell’s Mill State Park
  • May 12-13: Overnight Trip to McConnell’s Mill State Park
