As an SCA Wetland Monitoring Intern, you will assist Vegetation and Ecological Restoration staff in the Division of Resources Management and Science at Yosemite National Park with implementing important ecological monitoring. Monitoring work will include collection of scientific data used to assess vegetation, hydrology, and soil conditions in wetland, riparian, and meadow ecosystems.  You may work with a field partner, or as part of a small team or a larger crew. A portion of the position will require backpacking to remote wilderness locations to access field sites.

  • Training opportunities in vegetation, hydrology, and soil condition monitoring techniques and protocols, GPS/digital data collection, plant identification, wilderness travel skills, and safety skills.
