Position ID

These positions will include: taking phone calls, drafting agreements, entering data, talking with volunteers, assisting with volunteer trainings, and providing direction to volunteers in the field. These positions will work in an office and field environment but are mostly field going.

Additionally these positions will involve: trail maintenance and monitoring,  interacting with the public and collecting visitor use data, the use of hand tools to maintain trails on multi-day trips into the wilderness, and reporting on trail conditions, water locations, and use patterns. 

Lastly, these positions will assist developed recreation needs by helping with facilities maintenance, painting, mowing, traffic control, compliance, and off highway vehicle areas including fence construction, patrolling, and road inventories.

Compensation amounts:

  • $1,100 - one time RT travel allowance
  • $160 - weekly living allowance
  • AmeriCorps eligible ($2,907 education award and health insurance if elected)
  • Housing
