Position is for a current college student or recent graduate between the ages of 17 and 35 and must be affiliated with one of the following: Pueblo of Zuni, Ramah Navajo, Pueblo of Zuni, Pueblo of Acoma. 

Learn what it is like to work with a team of dedicated rangers at El Morro National Monument as you develop skills in customer service, public speaking, social media, and place-based interpretation. Work to help visitors appreciate, understand, and appropriately enjoy the rich natural and cultural resources of the park. Responsibilities include:
  • Staff the visitor center desk providing orientation, answering questions, and helping visitors plan their backcountry trips, 65%
  • Present interpretive programs, 10%
  • Contribute to the park’s social media pages and other media projects, 10%
  • Training, 10%
  • Assist park staff with various projects, 5%

This is an exciting opportunity to learn more about a career with the National Park Service. Training will be provided in interpretive skills and customer service.

Compensation:

  • $400 - weekly living allowance
