The Houston Community Partnerships and Engagement program (HCP&E) Multimedia internship will include: 

DUTIES
-Working with Houston Community Partnerships & Engagement (HCP&E) staff, Furr High School, Texas Environmental Justice Advocacy Services and other partners, develop multimedia products for outreach and education purposes.
-Create videos and other digital media/outreach tools to highlight environmental justice and wildlife conservation issues of the Houston region.
-Develop graphics and infographics promoting the work of national wildlife refuges (NWR), HCP&E and partners in the Houston region. 
-Prepare social media postings. Identify and develop potential social media stories to be shared through photos and video.
-Gain hands-on experience working with partners and refuge staff conducting biological monitoring, habitat restoration, outdoor recreation/visitor services programs in and around Houston.
-Participate in training for program-related skills and job shadowing and training to build program-related skills and certifications.
-Maintain data on spreadsheet in order to track successes. 
-Maintain program materials and tools, including vehicles, EE materials and more.
-Other duties may be assigned during the term of this internship, as priorities and opportunities for partnerships to connect urban audiences with nature arise.

 
  • Working throughout the Houston metropolitan area, this position will be based out of the offices of a non-profit partner in the city of Houston.
