The primary duties of this position will be education program development and presentation. You will be tasked with working with local schools and teachers to develop programs that meet their needs and goals. Program themes will include archaeology, geology, astronomy, and Ancestral Pueblo culture. These programs will be presented both in the park and in classrooms.

You will work with Park staff to enhance our astronomy program outreach through the use of an indoor planetarium. In 2017 the park was able to purchase the indoor planetarium but due to the lack of staffing during our shoulder season, we’ve been unable to use the planetarium as frequently as we would like. This position will help us correct that deficiency.

You will also assist with day-to-day front line operations. You will staff the visitor center, provide visitors with orientation, respond to phone inquiries, open and close visitor use areas, and assist with other operational needs.
