Interns will work on creating Survey 123/Collector/ArcGIS online products for a variety of natural resources projects.  Interns will also work on managing data products for current and past surveys. This is a great internship opportunity if you have some GIS background, and have an interest in the 21st century overlapping job skills of conservation GIS & understanding the survey and research data lifecycle.  Housing is not provided; however, a housing stipend is provided.

Training Provided
Survey 123/Collector/ArcGIS online and data management.

Skills Required:
Must have some GIS experience or classes
 
  • Phoenix, AZ is one of the larger cities in the U.S. with over 5 million people. Work is based in an office building in Phoenix.
  • Member will receive training on the scientific data lifecycle, open data, persistent data identifiers, & alternative metrics (alt metrics).
  • There are hiking areas within the city and outside of the city. Within an hour of the city there is hiking at the Hassayampa Preserve and Aqua Fria Nat’l Monument. Within three hours there is access to national forests & snow skiing near Flagstaff .
