Cultural Resources Communications Interns (two pre-selects)

NPS Northeast Region Archeology Program
Position ID
Assists the Archeology program working collaboratively with cultural resources staff among in the NPS Northeast Archeological Resources Program and Northeast Museum Services Center while participating in ongoing archeological research projects. The interns will apply their skills working with historical and pre-colonial material cultural  from ongoing archeological projects, and assist during upcoming field research. The interns will work collaboratively to draft and release up to 40 social media posts related to these project. By the end of the project, the interns will have assisted the researchers in conducting complete analysis of the material artifacts, written the results of their analysis in chapter-length reports on their work, and hosted a WebEx presentation to discuss among a group of wider archeological professionals the results of the project. An understanding of archeology and historic material culture as well as basic knowledge and interest in history and anthropology, along with strong written and verbal skills are required.
