Acadia National Park is seeking candidates with a strong interest in performing various maintenance and fieldwork projects on our Historic Carriage Road system.

Project Descriptions

The selected candidates will work with trained park staff to maintain historic masonry, clear drainage inlets and outlets on the carriage roads, and perform vegetation management as well as light landscaping for proper drainage.

These projects will take place inside the Park boundaries at various locations. The members will address the Carriage Roads, assist in condition assessments, clear brush and other debris, and have specific road surface material to spread to comply with the desired look.

The members will conduct a comprehensive inventory of historic masonry features throughout the carriage road system and assist necessary repairs.
