Are you a good communicator and do you like interacting with people?  We have an ideal opportunity for someone who wants an opportunity to work with the Cherokee National Forest.

The US Forest Service is seeking 1 intern to develop and implement environmental education programming, visitor outreach, and administrative functions during the peak summer recreation season. 

Required Skills

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in outdoor education
  • Public speaking experience
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification
  • Trail building experience


Transportation: Intern may be provided with a government vehicle for project use, but will need their own vehicle for personal use.

Benefits: A housing allowance of $800/month will be provided to the intern. The intern will also receive a one-time travel allowance of $1100 to assist with round trip costs of relocation. Additionally, a weekly living allowance of $250/ week will be provided.
