SCA is watching Hurricane Ida, which is expected to make landfall near New Orleans as a powerful Category 4 storm late Sunday before taking a northeasterly track inland. We have advised the small number of SCA members in the potentially affected region to be on alert and to be prepared for the likelihood of heavy rains, high winds, downed trees, and power outages. SCA is prepared to support members in the field as needed.
SCA is also monitoring a number of wildfires, primarily in the west. Beyond a handful of previously announced relocations taken out of an abundance of caution and without incident, there is no additional news at this time.
