Intern will work in the Resource Management Division of the park on a variety of projects: Historic Earthwork Monitoring and Preservation (30%); Trail monitoring and maintenance (20%); Manage invasive exotic vegetation (30%); Animal monitoring (15%); and GIS/GPS work (5%).
Compensation Details:
- One-time travel allowance: $1,100 (a personal vehicle is required)
- Weekly living allowance: $300 / week
- Housing is provided by the park
- Eligible to receive Public Land Corps hiring authority upon successful completion of the program
- Eligible for an AmeriCorps education award valued at $1,678.57
It is SCA’s policy that all AmeriCorps-required background checks must return cleared results prior to the position’s start; this includes being fingerprinted for the FBI check. Otherwise, the AmeriCorps award will be removed or the position’s start date will be delayed due to non-compliance.

The house is next door to the Resource Management Office (where interns will report each day). It is a three bedroom, one and one half bath house with a washer/drier, and full shared kitchen.
