Interpretation Internship at Devils Tower (PO-00734670)

Join a team of dedicated rangers working to help visitors appreciate, understand, and appropriately enjoy Devils Tower National Monument and the Black Hills. You'll expand your personal knowledge and skills by learning about the park and sharing this information with visitors.

In this position, you will provide interpretive, orientation and safety information at the visitor center (50%), you will learn how to design, develop and present interpretive programs (5%) and rove trails (20%).  The remaining responsibilities will be as directed by your supervisor.

Compensation amounts:

  • $1,100 – one time RT travel allowance
  • $400 – weekly living allowance
  • $25 weekly commuting allowance (for basic amenities)
  • All-Weather Uniform package

Training Provided: This is an exciting opportunity to learn more about a career with the National Park Service. Training will be provided in interpretive skills and resource management. Other opportunities based on the members career and personal goals may be available.
