Build your hands-on preservation trades skills at Reconstruction Era National Historical Park through projects addressing a range of preservation needs. Crew members will have the opportunity to develop their skills in several preservation trades, including window restoration, carpentry, and preservation maintenance. The ideal candidate is excited about hands-on trades work and should be able to demonstrate or discuss their interest in the preservation field. Crew members must be able to commit to the position from January 9 – June 16, with weekends and federal holidays off.
Backfill Hiring: May 22 – July 7. Project will be based at Charles Pinckney National Historic Site building and replacing shutter hardware. Carpentry experience working side-by-side HPTC staff!

Position Benefits:

Minimum Qualifications:
- Interest in historic preservation
- Age restrictions: 18 – 30 (or 35 for Veterans)
- Must be able to commit to project dates: January 9 – June 16, 2023
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk up to 1 mile
- Interest in using hand and power tools to complete projects
