Forestry / Natural Resources Technician (PO-00733645)

This position will serve as a natural resource generalist with regards to forest management and natural resource projects.  Personnel will be required to work in the field on a variety of tasks, such as timber sale preparation, silviculture, wetland delineation, vegetation and wildlife surveys.  The encumbent will be required to work as a member of a team and, occasionally, be required to lead a team in tasks.  Some familiarity with natural resources, GIS and forest management is needed.  Other multifunctional work may be performed, as assigned.  The encumbent must be willing to use personal protective equipment and be willing to drive own vehicle with mileage reimbursement.  Security and safety compliance will be required.  Incumbent may be required to attend training.

Compensation amounts:
– $1,100- one time RT travel allowance
– $325 – weekly living allowance
– $1,360- monthly housing allowance (9 total for backfill)
– $800 Reimbursable Duty Travel allowance

– $750 Reimbursable PPE/ Additional Clothing budget / GIS/MS Office Licenses
