Facilities/Maintenance Intern
Intern will support refuge staff through a variety of different tasks. Weekly tasks may include but are not limited to assisting maintenance personnel with machine and/or vehicle maintenance (oil change, brakes, replacing hose, etc.), refuge grounds maintenance (mowing trails and visitor use areas, garbage collection, etc.) sign posting and removal, tool repair and maintenance. Experience and/or familiarity with common hand tools, power tools, and small engines is helpful but not necessary. Experience with the operation of 4×4 vehicles and towing small trailers also helpful but not necessary. Intern will be required to operate a refuge vehicle for daily activities and must possess a valid driver’s license. Intern should be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team and must possess a positive attitude along with a willingness to learn.
Living Allowance $620 per week
