Biology Intern (PO-00734447)

The position's main responsibility will be to assist in the daily operations of the Cryopreservation Laboratory. The primary objectives are to assist in the maintenance of the cryopreserved sperm repository and conducting experiments to develop cryopreservation procedures for aquatic species. This will account for approximately 40% of the duties.

The positions other duties will include: water quality analysis, feeding research animals, culture facilities maintenance, data collection, 30%; assist in other station research projects (including crayfish tagging, salamander reproduction, and eDNA sampling), 15%; prepare and care for field and laboratory equipment, 15%.
Compensation Details:

  • $650 One-time travel allowance 
  • $250 / week living allowance
  • Eligible for an AmeriCorps education award valued at $4,546.50
