Program Dates: 02/06/23-03/17/23
Pay Rate: $11 hourly rate (Crew Members)
Transportation and Site Locations: Van transportation will be provided for Crew Members. Crew leader and members will decide to pick up and drop off location. We do not pick up or drop off at members’ homes.
Location Address: Various Locations throughout Atlanta Metro Region.
The Student Conservation Association’s (SCA) 2022 SCA Atlanta Community Spring School Year Program will be a team of 1 Crew Leader and 6 High School-aged Crew Members that meet for 6 weeks for virtual learning and in-person Saturday service projects across the Atlanta Metro region. This crew will work with a variety of local partners to engage in hands-on service projects. Program Dates below:
Wednesday Virtual Days 6 pm-8 pm: February (8th, 15th, and 22nd), March (1st, 8th, and 15th,)
Virtual Workshop & Informational 6 pm: (Thursday, March 16th)
Saturday In-Person Work Days 8 am-4 pm: February (11th, 18th, 25th), March (4th, and 11th)
The crew will also meet virtually on Wednesday evenings for two hours to participate in an environmental education curriculum and perform prep/planning for the upcoming in-person service project. Hands-on projects will include invasive species management, trail maintenance, and erosion control, tree planting and maintenance, urban farming and gardening, and more! The crew will take part in environmental education and green job readiness activities throughout the week.
