2024 Hudson Valley Corps Candidate Pool (PO-00735771)

This position requires that you become enrolled in AmeriCorps.  If you are selected for this program please be sure to accept AmeriCorps during the SCA offer process.  No travel allowance will be offered for this position even if it is stated on your confirmation of acceptance.
 
This position serves as a candidate pool for the 2024 SCA Hudson Valley Corps program. If you are interested in serving with us, please apply to this position and we will keep you up to date as we start the recruiting process in late summer/early fall 2023. 

The SCA Hudson Valley Corps program will continue to follow local, state and federal guidelines in response to Covid-19.

SCA Hudson Valley AmeriCorps partners with State and non-profit agencies to address the conservation needs of the Hudson River Watershed region. Corps members are placed at individual host sites, where service activities range from providing environmental education to underserved youth, to restoring streambanks along the Hudson River, and beyond. Members join together regularly for trainings, service projects, or other events. 

The SCA Hudson Valley Program partners with the New York AmeriCorps, State Conservation Agencies (State Parks, DEC, and Soil & Water Conservation Districts), and regional non-profits. Hudson Valley Corps members work day-to-day under the direction of agency staff within these organizations to complete priority conservation, environmental education, and stewardship projects.  Placement sites cover a geographic area from Saratoga Springs, NY down through the Hudson Valley and Catskills, to the five Burroughs of New York City.

Requirements to Serve:
Commitment to serve the full length of your position, and to complete a minimum of 1700 hours of service
At least 18 years of age
Ability to pass a background check
A Citizen, National or Lawful Permanent Residing Alien of the US
Access to a personal vehicle and US driver's license valid for 3+ years
Commitment to attend all SCA required events
Passion and enthusiasm for conservation
