ARAMARK, a leader in food services and facilities management, has teamed up with SCA to offer young professionals a broad spectrum of hands-on Sustainability Internships at universities, K-12 schools, businesses, hospitals, sports stadiums and national park sites nationwide, and a few select international locations. The Sustainability Internship program is designed to meet a growing need for employees who have a practical understanding of sustainability integrating with fundamental business knowledge.

Leveraging our long standing expertise in recruiting and hiring environmental interns for federal agencies and non-profit organizations, SCA helps identify and train applicants who are seeking opportunities that combine their education with their passion for the environment and demonstrate strong conservation leadership. The program builds an important bridge between business and the environment, while creating career opportunities, advancing skills and career pathways.

To celebrate Earth Day, ARAMARK employees have joined SCA volunteers in hands-on conservation service projects that benefit communities in cities across the country, including Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Oakland, CA, Pittsburgh, Seattle, and Washington, DC. Projects include turning empty lots into community gardens or neighborhood parks; planting native plants,  removing invasive plants and trees and installing rain barrel irrigation systems. “By joining forces with SCA volunteers, ARAMARK employees are further demonstrating our commitment to enhance the environment and communities where we live and work,” says Chris Stemen, Senior Director, Sustainability, ARAMARK Higher Education. “SCA’s service projects are a natural extension of our day-to-day operational commitment to environmental stewardship.”
