For more than 20 years, Timberland has supported SCA in building the next generation of conservation leaders across the country. From backcountry projects in Alaska to urban restoration in Houston, Timberland has outfitted AmeriCorps and other SCA members with boots to engage in all types of park and green space restoration. On December 16, 2019 the SCA partnered with Timberland, RootDown LA and NBA in Los Angeles to restore a community garden space at local middle School. In total, there were 102 volunteers and SCA alumni leaders who supported several urban greening projects, while Timberland and NBA Cares outfitted middle school students with new shoes. The NBA also held drills for the students, and Gary Payton came out to meet the kids and sign autographs.

On Thursday, November 1st, SCA, Timberland, Journeys, and many local partners came together to transform an abandoned community garden into a thriving green space for the LA community. Over 80 participants tallied more than 500 service hours, uniting to renew 10,018 square feet of garden space.

On Thursday, September 27th, SCA, Timberland, Journeys, and many local partners came together to transform The Blue Island Corridor from an abandoned lot into a renewed green space. Over 70 participants teamed up to green about 3,500 square feet totaling more than 400 conservation service hours.
