(ARLINGTON, VA) July 20, 2020 —- The Student Conservation Association (SCA) has named Rob Murphy as Chief Financial and Administrative Oﬃcer (CFAO).
Murphy is an accomplished financial and operations executive with three decades of professional experience in the public and private sectors, both globally and domestically. He brings to SCA extensive expertise in financial accounting systems, organizational strategies and structures, human resources management, contracts and legal, mergers and acquisitions, operations and facilities management, and information technology oversight.
SCA Chief Executive Oﬃcer and President Stephanie Meeks indicates for the past 30 years, Murphy has specialized in economic and human development for the benefit of people in developing, transitional, and post-conﬂict countries. Now, she says, Murphy is looking forward to advancing SCA’s mission of environmental conservation and youth development.
“Rob has devoted his entire career to improving the lives of millions worldwide,” Meeks states. “With a history of excellence and a passion for helping others achieve their best selves, I know Rob will be a tremendous asset to SCA as we build new generations of leaders for conservation and our country.”
Previously the CFAO of the nonprofit IntraHealth International, Murphy begins his new role on July 20th. He will be based at SCA’s national oﬃce in Arlington, VA.
