Celebrating Veterans Day Through Service in Chicago

Saturday, November 15, 2014 - November 15, 2014 10:00 am

Join SCA to celebrate our Veterans through a day of volunteer service at Eggers Woods Forest Preserve in Chicago.

Eggers Woods Forest Preserve includes one of the few remaining marshes in the Chicago metropolitan region, where yellow-headed blackbirds and Virginia rails nest. The preserve’s varied natural areas make it attractive for migrating birds throughout the fall. SCA volunteers will join up to restore this important Chicago green space.

WHERE: Eggers Woods Forest Preserve, 11200 S Avenue E, Chicago, IL 60617. Parking is available on site.
