Celebrate National Trails Day by hitting the trail with fellow SCA alumni in the DC Area! This hike is organized by members of SCA’s young alumni council as a way to further engage SCA alumni in DC and build continued connections to the great outdoors.
Scott’s Run Nature Preserve is just outside DC on the Virginia side of the Potomac River. The hike is a 2.2-mile loop that passes waterfalls, ruins, rock scrambles, and boasts gorgeous views of the Potomac River.
WHEN: Saturday, June 6th, 9:30 am
WHERE: Scott’s Run Nature Preserve, 7350 Georgetown Pike, McLean, VA 22102. Look for the SCA representatives near the trailhead.
WHAT: A day of hiking with SCA’s young alumni! 2.2-mile hike along varied terrain. This hike is rated easy/moderate. All ages welcome.
WHO: Alums who have served with SCA as interns, corps members, crew members, crew leaders, staff, or volunteers anywhere in the country! Current members and families also welcome.
BRING WITH YOU: Wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring snacks and plenty of water.
