Trails Day Project at Cleveland Memorial Forest, Issaquah, WA

Saturday, June 7, 2014 - June 7, 2014 10:00 am

Join the Student Conservation Association in celebrating our 30th Anniversary of service to the Seattle area with our National Trails Day event at Cleveland Memorial Forest.

SCA is teaming up with the Seattle School District and Garfield High School’s Outdoor Education POST student club in hosting a day of conservation service working on a trail in Cleveland Memorial Forest that is heavily used for educational and recreational purposes.

The Cleveland Memorial Forest was purchased in 1944 by a handful of Cleveland High School students who raised funds to turn the land into a memorial honoring their fellow classmates who served in World War II. The land has since been turned over to the Seattle School District and is still actively used by many local youth.
