Trails Day Project at Van Cortlandt Park, Bronx, NY

Saturday, June 7, 2014 - June 7, 2014 10:00 am

Join the Student Conservation Association and Friends of Van Cortlandt Park to celebrate National Trails Day by improving trails around Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.

Van Cortlandt Park is the third-largest park in New York City, and contains over 20 miles of trails. Last year, SCA partnered with Van Cortlandt Park for our December ConSERVE NYC event, during which almost 100 volunteers joined up to build water bars and remove invasives along the Cross Country Trail. Six months later, we are returning to continue stewardship of this beautiful woodland space at the northern edge of New York City.

NOTE: Due to limited capacity at this event, this project is open only to SCA members and alumni, or participants who will be serving with SCA crews this summer.
