The Student Conservation Association (SCA) and Timberland have teamed up with Urban Juncture to transform Chicago’s Bronzeville Community Garden on July 20th, 2019.

Since its establishment in 2010, the Bronzeville Community Garden has been an easily accessible hub for residents of the community. The garden provides a place for the community to gather, put on shows, grow food, eat, and socialize. The garden offers workshops, gardening tutorials, activities for children, fresh produce, and vivacious live scenery all while keeping a green initiative in mind. SCA and Timberland have teamed up to update this historic community space by providing new sustainable infastructure while maintaining its connection to urban heritage so the garden can continue to be a green space for the community to enjoy for years to come.
