Solon, OH: Nestlé National Day of Volunteering

Join Nestlé and SCA on Thursday, August 10th to restore Cuyahoga Valley National Park!

Nestlé in the U.S. is hosting #NestleCares, a national day of volunteering across Nestlé’s 120 U.S. hometowns. SCA is proud to be a partner in this endeavor by facilitating opportunities for Nestlé in the U.S. employees, families, and friends to engage in team-based service projects in 9 different cities. These projects will focus on some of the most urgent conservation needs including pollinator habitat restoration and water conservation. 

Cuyahoga Valley National Park encompasses 32,572-acres and is the only national park in Ohio. Twenty-two miles of the Cuyahoga River wind through the park. Nestlé employees will join SCA volunteers to help preserve the park’s extensive trail network.

WHEN: Thursday, August 10th, 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. Registration & breakfast beginning at 8:30 am. 

WHERE: Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center (CVEEC) 3675 Oak Hill Road, Peninsula, OH 44264

WHAT: Volunteers will help to restore the park’s extensive 125-mile trail network as a recreational resource for local residents. Projects will be appropriate for all ages and abilities. 

BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.

PROVIDED: SCA will provide breakfast and lunch along with work gloves, safety gear, and all project materials. Reusable water bottles will be provided along with water stations. Stay hydrated!
