SF Green Festival

Saturday, November 12, 2011 - November 12, 2011 10:00 am

Come join SCA at the Green Festival, Nov 12-13, to explore and build sustainable solutions for successful communities and a healthier environment. The festival is celebrating its 10-year anniversary as the nation’s premier green event.

SCA will have a booth to share our programming with the public and get people excited about working in the outdoors, and we need your help!

Sign up to volunteer for a two-hour shift at the SCA booth and you can get into the Festival for free!

Over 125 renowned authors, leaders & educators will join 300 eco-friendly businesses in a unique marketplace with workshops, green films, kids’ activities, live music, delicious, organic, vegetarian cuisine plus tons more. And, it’s also a great opportunity to network with SCA alumni at the booth and attending the festival.

The festival hours are 10-7 on Saturday and 11-6 on Sunday. We will have 2-hour shifts with 2-3 volunteers per shift.

The shifts are as follows:

  • Saturday, Nov. 12th: 9:45 am-11:30 am, 11:30 am-1:30 pm, 1:30 pm-3:30 pm, 3:30 pm-5:30 pm, 5:30 pm-7:15 pm
  • Sunday, Nov. 13th: 10:45 am-12:30 pm, 12:30 pm-2:30 pm, 2:30 pm-4:30 pm, 4:30 pm-6:30 pm
You can sign up for one or more shifts on the same day or more than one shift over the weekend.

Volunteer Orientation
In an effort to make sure all volunteers are up to speed with all the new and exciting changes within SCA, we are requiring volunteers to attend a one hour orientation session at our Oakland office. You only need to attend one session. The sessions will be Tuesday, November 8th, 6-7 pm and Wednesday, November 9th, 6-7 pm.
**If you would like to volunteer but cannot attend either one of the orientation sessions, please go ahead and sign up and we can work out other options for orientation.**

Remember, just a few hours at our booth gets you into the festival all day for free, so Sign Up Today. When you respond, include what shift(s) you are available for and what orientation date.
