Service and Social Event at Adams National Historical Park in Quincy, MA

Help clean up the garden and join a behind the scenes tour of Adams NHP

You are invited to the upcoming SCA Service and Social Event at Adams National Historical Park in Quincy, MA (full schedule below). This is the first SCA Service and Social Event Planned for the Boston area, but not the last!

Who: SCA & SCA Alumni & guests

What: Bulb planting, fall clean-up, and ‘putting the garden to bed’, plus a behind the scenes park tour of Adams.

Where: Adams National Historical Park, Quincy, MA. Parking available at the Beale House OR take mass transit (the park is a 12-15 minute walk from the Red Line via Quincy Center Station). Opportunities to arrange carpooling.

When: Saturday, October 18th 10:00 AM.

Why: Get to know some of the great SCA members and SCA alumni in Boston! Give input on additional local events to follow.

What to bring: Comfortable footwear, boots recommended. PACK A LUNCH. Light snacks provided. The park will provide tools, equipment, and gloves (but if you have a favorite pair, you can bring your own!).

PLEASE USE THE LINK TO THE GOOGLE FORM TO REGISTER. The service project and tour will be limited to 10 people- (friends and family are welcome too—just note additional guests on your registration form!). The weather for Saturday is looking great- sunny and almost 70. This is a great opportunity to make some new friends and enjoy fall!

Tentative Schedule:

10:00-12:30: Service Projects

12:30-1:00: Brown bag lunch—seasonal treats provided!

1:00-2:00: Adams NHP Tour

2:00-??:00: Drinks, snacks etc. at a mutually agreeable off-site location.
