Join Student Conservation Association (SCA) and Washington Park Arboretum on Saturday, April 20th to restore Washington Park Arboretum in Seattle, WA!
This Spring, SCA is hosting projects nationwide to honor Earth Day. With national support from American Express and Southwest Airlines, we are aiming to connect our members, alumni, friends, and partners across the country to create a nationwide network of Earth Month celebrations.
In Seattle, volunteers will help remove invasives, weed, and mulch at Washington Park Arboretum.
WHEN: Saturday, April 20th, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.
WHERE: Washington Park Arboretum, 2300 Arboretum Drive East, Seattle, WA 98112. Meet at Crabapple Meadow, just South of the Visitor Center.
Parking Details: Drive to the address above (Visitor Center) and follow signs/parking staff who will direct you to the correct parking area.
WHAT: Volunteers will restore Washington Park Arboretum through removing invasive species, weeding collections, and mulching planting beds.
BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty and bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.
PROVIDED: Gloves and project supplies will be provided.
