The Student Conservation Association (SCA) and Timberland will transform a vacant lot in Los Angeles into a beautiful community garden.
Garden design is still being finalized, but is expected to feature a garden tool shed and more than 20 raised garden beds. It will be a beacon of the community and healthy food access that is necessary to influence positive change in its neighborhood.
WHEN: Thursday, November 1st 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Registration beginning at 8:30 am with welcome remarks at 9:00 am.

WHAT: Volunteers will transform a vacant lot in Los Angeles into a beautiful community garden.
BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes and bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. The event will take place rain or shine so please dress for the weather!
PROVIDED: All project supplies (tools, gloves, etc.) breakfast and lunch are provided.
