For many of the last 57 years, SCA has had a presence at Shenandoah National Park. SCA would like to extend a special invitation to SCA alumni and supporters to join a ranger-led hike to take in the fall colors, meet SCA alumni now working at Shenandoah, and learn about SCA’s past and present work at the Park.
The hike will be family-friendly and appropriate for all levels. The Stony Man Trail is one of the most scenic hikes in Shenandoah National Park. The first part of the hike includes a slight uphill to the summit of Stony Man, which offers sweeping views from the second highest peak in the park (4,011 feet). The trailhead is at the Skyland Resort Area and the hike will conclude in time for those who might like to get lunch at the Skyland Dining Room.
