Are you ready to break out those boots and head into the woods? On Saturday, April 21st at 11:30AM, a group of SCA alumni and volunteers will be headed out to the Steven’s Property in Raleigh, NC located along Swift Creek, just downstream of Lake Wheeler. RSVP to Kelly.
This event was originally scheduled for March but bad weather forced us to cancel it. We are now ready to get to work! We will be working with Wake County Parks, Recreation, and Open Space and the WakeNature Preserves Partnership in an effort to clean up the area and do a preliminary sweep to remove all trash from the site. This will help to prepare the site for future use as either part of the Greenway or as a nature preserve.
We are excited to be able to provide this service to Wake County, and we hope you will join us for a fun-filled morning of volunteer service and conservation!
