Day of Volunteering on Thursday, August 2nd

The Cuyahoga Valley National Park encompasses 32,572-acres and is the only national park in Ohio. Twenty-two miles of the Cuyahoga River wind through the park. This land and river support diverse habitat for wildlife and offer opportunities for visitors to connect meaningfully to nearby green spaces as well as other recreational and education opportunities at the education center and beyond. Employee volunteers will help remove invasive species from much-needed areas of the park to ensure the park’s natural resources are preserved.
WHEN: Thursday, August 10th, 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Registration & breakfast beginning at 9:00 am.
WHERE: Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Terra Vista Natural Study Area, 11400 Tinkers Creek Rd, Valley View, OH 44125. Shuttle & car parking available at Canal Exploration Center, 7104 Canal Rd, Vally View, OH 44125 (0.7 miles). Shuttles will drop volunteers at Terra Vista and can park at the Center. All volunteers arriving in a car can park at the Center and be shuttled to site by SCA van.
WHAT: Volunteers will remove invasive species from much-needed areas of the park.
BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes and bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. The event will take place rain or shine so please dress for the weather!
