Chicago: SCA & MUFG Community Engagement Event

Saturday, February 17, 2018 - February 17, 2018 9:00 am

Join SCA and MUFG on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 17TH to support bird conservation in Chicago!

Since the establishment of Global Volunteer Month in 2013, MUFG employees all over the world have been working together on initiatives to host local contribution activities. SCA is proud to be a partner in this endeavor by facilitating opportunities for MUFG employees, family, and friends to engage in team-based service projects in 8 different cities. The projects will focus on some of the most urgent conservation needs in underserved urban communities.

The Chicago Bird Collision Monitors work closely with the Chicago Audubon Society to protect migratory bird species and rescue injured birds in the downtown Chicago area. SCA and MUFG will come together with CBCM for a morning of service at the Morton Arboretum, building nesting boxes and assembling bird rescue kits that will help with this conservation effort.

WHEN: Saturday, February 17th, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Registration & breakfast beginning at 9:00 am, kickoff at 9:30. Work will conclude at 12:00 with lunch to follow.

WHERE: Morton Arboretum, 4100 Illinois 53, Lisle, IL 60532. Free parking is available. Mention SCA at the Arboretum entrance to be directed to the Arbor Room.
