SCA Day of Service Tree Planting Event in Blue Island, IL

Saturday, April 13, 2019 - April 13, 2019 9:00 am

Join Student Conservation Association (SCA) in planting 100 native trees in Blue Island on Saturday, April 13th!  Planting will take place at Dwight D. Eisenhower High School in Blue Island, IL. This will be SCA’s first tree planting event in Illinois in 2019! 


WHEN:  Saturday, April 13th 9:00am – 12:00pm CST. Registration beginning at 8:30am, kick-off at 9:00am.

WHERE:  Dwight D. Eisenhower High School, 12700 Sacramento Ave, Blue Island, IL 60406. Look for the Student Conservation Association work truck and trailer as well as the blue pop up tent! 

WHAT: Volunteers will plant, mulch, and water native trees.

BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. 

PROVIDED: All project supplies (tools, gloves, etc.) will be provided. Drinking water and coffee will be available throughout the event.
