SCA Day of Service in Hammond, IN

Saturday, December 1, 2018 - December 1, 2018 9:00 am

Join Student Conservation Association (SCA) in planting 100 native trees in Hammond on Saturday, December 1st! 

Planting will take place up and down Knickerbocker Parkway. This will be SCA’s final tree planting event of the calendar year. 


WHEN:  Saturday, December 1st, 9am to Noon CST. Registration beginning at 8:30 am with welcome remarks at 9:00 am.

WHERE: Park along both sides of Knickerbocker Parkway, near Knickerbocker and 173rd Street. Look for the Student Conservation Association work truck and trailer, near the blue pop-up tent! 

WHAT: Volunteers will plant, mulch, and water native trees.

BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes and bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. The event will take place rain or shine so please dress for the weather!

PROVIDED: All project supplies (tools, gloves, etc.), coffee and water are provided throughout the event.
