SCA Alumni Trip to Sagamore Hill National Historic Site

SCA invites our alumni, members, friends, and supporters for a special day at Sagamore Hill National Historic Site — Theodore Roosevelt’s “Summer White House” on the shores of Long Island.

Take a VIP tour of the historic house and grounds, hike the waterfront of Oyster Bay, explore the family cemetery, and enjoy lunch on the lawn with fellow SCA friends and alumni — all while learning about the work SCA crews and Centennial Volunteer Ambassadors are doing to promote this historic and cultural resource for the Next 100 Years of NPS.

WHEN: Saturday, August 6th, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

WHERE: Sagamore Hill National Historic Site, 20 Sagamore Hill Road, Oyster Bay, NY 11771 – LONG ISLAND

(SCA will offer roundtrip shuttle transportation from NYC for participants who select the shuttle option on registration. A $20 contribution is requested for shuttle riders. Current SCA members and Community Crew Alums may reserve shuttle tickets free of charge.)

WHAT: 

  • Connect with SCA and learn about SCA programming in the NYC region
  • Explore the cultural and historic resources of Sagamore Hill with VIP tours of the Roosevelt home, the extensive park grounds, and the Roosevelt Family Cemetery
  • Enjoy lunch on the lawn with fellow SCA alumni and supporters
  • Enter a raffle for a chance to win SCA-branded gear
