SCA Invites You to a Screening of “Return of the River” at Town Hall Seattle

As an official sponsor of Return of the River’s regional premiere, the Student Conservation Association invites you to be among the first to see this inspiring documentary about the largest dam removal in US history.

SCA’s Northwest roots run deep. SCA’s earliest crews began work at Olympic National Park in 1957. More recently, SCA spearheaded the volunteer Mount Rainier Recovery Project following the 2006 floods, and just last month SCA was honored with the National Park Service Director’s Partnership Award.

No achievement ranks higher, however, than helping to restore the Elwha River to its natural state. Return of the River offers a story of hope and possibility, tenacity and community. Join us to witness one of the Seattle area’s most stirring ecological success stories.

The screening, presented by NatureBridge, takes place at Town Hall Seattle on Thursday, January 15th at 7:15 p.m., with a panel discussion immediately following. Tickets may be purchased online here Proceeds from the evening will benefit Lower Elwha Klallam Tribal youth.
