SCA and Friends of South Side Park Join Forces in South Side Park
This spring, SCA is hosting projects nationwide to honor Earth Day. With national support from Southwest Airlines and American Express, we are aiming to connect our members, alumni, friends, and partners across the country to create a nationwide network of Earth Month celebrations.
In Pittsburgh, SCA and Friends of South Side Park will be planting trees, clearing trails, removing invasive species, and beatuifying the entrances of South Side Park.
WHEN: Saturday, April 27th 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
WHERE: Bandi Schaum Community Garden in South Side Park. Directly across from the Mission Street Pumping Station, 2117 Mission St, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.
WHAT: SCA will be partnering with Friends of South Side Park to work on a variety of park projects including tree planting, trail clearing, removing invasive speccies, and beautifying park entrances.
BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes and bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.
PROVIDED: Gloves and tools will be provided.
