Join SCA to help clean up Ocala National Forest!
What: Trash clean up in the Forest
When: January 23, 2010, 8 am to 1 pm; sign-in at 7:30 am
Where: 2 locations — Lake George Office located at 17147 East Highway 40 Silver Springs, FL 34488 (20 mi. east of Ocala on Hwy 40, north side of the road) OR Pitman Work Center located at 45621 State Road 19 Altoona, FL 32702 (5 mi. north of Umatilla, FL on the west side of the road)
What to bring: sunscreen, gloves, water, bug spray and a camera (optional). Please wear loose fitting clothes. Trash bags will be provided.
Ocala NF also advises that those with trailers, trucks, tractors and heavy equipment are also needed to assist in cleaning up larger items. If you can attend this event, please RSVP to Emily Williams. I will arrange for those volunteering to meet at a central location so that we can all drive down together and potentially get lunch afterwards.
