SCA Volunteers for the Holidays at the National Tree in Washington, DC

Saturday, December 20, 2014 - December 20, 2014 12:00 pm

The National Park Service at Presidents Park along with the National Parks Foundation has asked for SCA’s help this holiday season during their month-long holiday celebration. This year SCA has been asked to assist park rangers at Santa’s Workshop! No elf outfits required… Tasks include helping assist NPS rangers with greeting the public, answering questions, and being a general welcome wagon to the thousands of families who come to see Santa each year!

In exchange for 5 hours of your time, you will receive 2 free passes to the National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony taking place on Thursday, December 4th. You will also receive an exclusive SCA winter beanie to wear during your volunteer service.

SCA staff, members, and alumni are invited to join the effort. There is a warming house and break room to use during your shift. NPS will provide full training when you arrive.

2-3 people are needed for each shift. Shift times and dates are:

Saturday December 6th, 12-5pm
Saturday December 6th, 5-10pm
Friday December 12th, 5-10pm
