TWITTER PARTY to Celebrate National Parks

Thursday, April 14, 2016 - April 14, 2016 1:00 pm

Join SCA for an exclusive online TWITTER PARTY, Thursday April 14th at 1pm EDT. Contribute your unique perspectives to this public forum on America’s National Parks and share with the Twitter world why you think protecting and preserving parks for the next generation is so important.

WHO: National Park Service, National Park Foundation, Department of Interior, SCA, American Express, and YOU.

WHEN: Twitter! Thursday, April 14th from 1-2 PM EDT

HOW TO FOLLOW: We’ve conveniently gathered all of the official panelists and invited guests into a Twitter list that you can find right here. During the chat, it will display all tweets and retweets from participating accounts. We suggest that you subscribe to it prior to Thursday to ensure that it can be easily accessed from any device.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Keep an eye on the above list as well as hashtag #FindYourPark to see questions and responses as they are tweeted. Contribute to the conversation by using #FindYourPark in your online Twitter responses. When contributing be sure to do the following…

  • Specify which question you’re responding to (they’ll be labeled Q1, Q2, etc. – please begin your responses with labels A1, A2, and so on).
  • Tag @the_sca to make sure we see your contributions. We’ll retweet our favorites.
  • Always include hashtag #FindYourPark.

We also encourage you to retweet questions right before you respond to them, and to retweet your favorite responses from other participants.

RSVP: Can you commit to being a part of this online party? If you will be available to follow the action online from 1-2pm EDT by retweeting and responding to questions, please RSVP and let us know you’ll be there by emailing SCA Outreach Coordinator Ann Pedtke at [email protected]

The #FindYourPark Twitter chat is being heavily promoted to millions of followers by its panelists, so this is a great opportunity to share your passion for serving our parks to an enormous audience, and hopefully to inspire others to join you in contributing to the preservation and celebration of our priceless public lands.
