MLK Day Service with SCA & Green Seattle

Saturday, January 13, 2018 - January 13, 2018 5:15 pm

Join SCA and Green Seattle on JANUARY 13TH to restore Maple Wood Playfield!

In honor of MLK Day, we will be continuing our forest restoration efforts at Maple Wood Playfield. SCA and the community have put in a massive amount of work here over the last three years, including the installation of over 1,500 native plants. The only way that these young plants can reach maturity and transform the site into a healthy urban forest is through continued maintenance through their first few vulnerable years. Come out and help the SCA maintain all of this hard work by weeding out regrowth of invasive plants and mulching around our precious young native trees and shrubs. Help create another future healthy forest for the good of our environment and community!

WHEN: Saturday, January 13th, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
