ConSERVE NYC: MLK Day Service at St. Nicholas Park

Join SCA as we kick off 2018 with hands-on service to honor MLK Day.

With the support of American Express and Southwest Airlines, SCA is bringing together hundreds of volunteers to restore St. Nicholas Park in Harlem. Join us to honor the service legacy of Dr. King while helping to improve this historic green space.


WHEN: Saturday, January 13th, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Breakfast & check-in beginning at 9:00 am, kick-off at 9:30 am.

WHERE: St. Nicholas Park, St. Nicholas Ave & W. 135th Street, New York, NY 10030 (B/C trains to 135th Street)

WHAT: Volunteers will help to restore this historic green space by mulching, improving trails, and combatting invasive species.

BRING WITH YOU: Please wear sturdy boots or shoes that you don’t mind getting wet or dirty. Bring extra layers as the event will take place in any weather! Please also bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.

PROVIDED: SCA will supply coffee, breakfast, and snacks for volunteers as well as work gloves and all project supplies.
