MLK Day Service at Herman Brown Park in Houston, TX

Join the Student Conservation Association as we team up with Houston Parks & Recreation and the North Shore Community Fellowship of Faith Church to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day through service at Herman Brown Park.

Volunteers will improve this community space by constructing new trail and installing new park benches along the North Shore Nature Walk. Bring family and friends to join in! 

WHEN: Saturday, January 23rd, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Please arrive at 8:30 am for check-in.

WHERE: Herman Brown Park. Meet at North Shore Community Fellowship of Faith Church, 444 Maxey Road, Houston, TX 77013. (Work will take place on the North Shore Nature Walk adjacent to the church property.)

WHAT: Volunteers will construct new trails and install new park benches along the North Shore Nature Walk.

BRING WITH YOU: Please wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and bring a water bottle.
