Youth Day of Service with Whole Foods and SCA at Alice’s Garden!

Join SCA and Whole Foods Market for a youth focused day of service at Alice’s Garden! Alice’s Garden is a two-acre urban community garden in Milwaukee that engages community members in education and opportunities related to land and food. Volunteers will help in the efforts to prepare the gardens for the winter season by planting shrubs and mulching natural pathways.
When: Saturday September 7th, 9am to 12:30pm

What: Seasonal garden preparation
Bring with you: Please wear long pants and shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Snacks, lunch, gloves and water bottles will be provided for all volunteers.
Behind the scene details:
Free street parking is available for all volunteers. Registration will be located near the garden entrance on 21st street.
Volunteers will need to sign up for the event ahead of time through registration page: https://wfmmilwaukee.eventbrite.com/
We will provide gloves and any other materials needed for the project. We also provide light snacks in the morning and a full lunch in the afternoon for all volunteers. Water bottles will be provided for all volunteers.
Schedule:
9:00-9:30 am: Registration and Snacks
9:30-10:00 am: Introduction, safety and project talk
10:00-12:00 pm: Work Project!
12:00 pm: Gather at the picnic tables for a wrap up and Lunch
